All limits are self imposed.
Confront one of your limitations—one of your path—today. Break beyond it, climb over it, think your way around it. Don’t run from it. It was created for you.
Ever felt stuck, like something inside you holds you back from what you’re meant to do? holding you back from your big dream? That’s your mind screwing with you, not reality. That’s your limitation of your mind, not your enemy, it’s your map. This is the direction to run towards. Every time your mind tell you why you can’t or shouldn’t do, its your duty to run towards it and prove it wrong. Most of the obstructions in our life are mental.
Your limits, fear, doubt, believing you need to learn more before you do something are lies your brain tells you are not ready yet or enough, put in learning loop which is another form of procrastination. The walls they are not real; they are fog you can punch through. You have to Face them: bust out, dodge, or outsmart them. Running away and avoiding these limitation will keep you stuck forever; Instead fight them lights up your purpose, what you’re here to do. This is deeper than tasks. It’s spiritual. All the Limits alive in your head, like ghosts you make real by believing them.
Stephanie Jallen
I want you to watch this, before you read further.
Stephanie Jallen was born with CHILD syndrome, her left leg shorter and her left arm barely formed. At nine, she laughed at noises around her, meant to put her down and hit the slopes in Pennsylvania. She trained like a beast, skiing on one strong leg, earning the nickname “Hopper” for her fierce, bouncing style. By 18, she was a Paralympian, racing down Sochi 2014’s brutal Super-G course, talking herself through every turn, and winning bronze in Super-G and super combined. She ignored pain, doubt, and a body that didn’t fit the mold, turning her limits into her edge. Jallen even delayed hip surgery to keep competing, proving her mind ruled her path.
How to implement:
Name your brain: When your mind something you can’t, you need to call it out, not today sam, we dont have time for it, You know how important this is for me, So i want you to focus, how to get it down. You are friend and act like one. Tell me how only i meant to do this.
Rip Into It: Attack your limit with one bold move, everyday you have your task, task you ignore because you are lazy or afraid but you know it can be life changing if you do this, So without thinking about do it, you don’t let your mind talk you out of it. Reduce the time between planning and execution.
List down your fears and hesitation: List down what you are avoiding and write down the reasons, be it fear or hesitation and go infront of mirror and read out loud, that i am not doing this because of scared or fear of someone, don’t want people to see myself like a clown infront others, etc etc and look at yourself and read again, these are lies you are feeding yourself, this is the reason, you are stuck.
Spit on Fear, Claim Your Ground: Now you know what you want to do, why and why you are avoid, now its time to do it, If not today you will never do it, this loop is downward spiral, created by you and your mind. There is no one plotting against its you, This is the time claim your gains, your path is waiting, You have to get out and do it. Think about how its possible, give yourself pep talk like Stephanie Jallen did, and do it. There is no other way.
I think you have enough of not living upto your potential. You have the responsibility towards yourself and people who trust you, like their life depend upon it, be it family, friends or that special someone. You owe it to them. Break out of this mental, self imposed limitation. Only us who defines what we can do, what we can achieve, also its us who has to put in the countless hours to pay for greatness.
